Session #1
"Pow Wow Goes West" Day Camp
June 18-22
|
Howdy, pardner! Get your 10-gallon hat and your favorite boots because it’s Western week at ARCh Camp Pow Wow! Have you ever wanted to live like they did in the old west? Come experience a waterfight at the Pow Wow corral, eat food cooked over an open fire, pan for gold, and try out some games that they played in the 19th Century! Gather your posse cowboys and cowgirls, and get on down to camp for a fun-filled adventure that you’ll never forget!

"Pow Wow to the Future!" Day Camp
June 16 - July 20

Marty McFly in the movie “Back to the Future!” said, “If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything!” Here at ARCh Camp Pow Wow, we happen to agree. If you think time travel would be cool, you love history, or you just like having fun…then hop in the DeLorean as we put the pedal to the metal and speed towards 88 MPH – and beyond! Want to head back to ancient Rome to check out the aqueducts? You got it! How about a sock hop in the 1950s? Just wait until Thursday night! Experience the world of yesteryear and catch a glimpse of what tomorrow may bring to ARCh Camp Pow Wow!

“Pow Wow Olympics” Residential
July 30 - August 3
|
Olympic athletes are constantly pushing their bodies to jump higher, swim faster, run farther, and generally do what no one has done before. Come experience the spirit of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games with all of your friends at ARCh Camp Pow Wow! Campers and counselors will be divided into teams for a week of zany games and activities. You will spend your nights in a unique platform tent after a fun-filled day of swimming, fishing, art projects, sports, picnics, and much more! Each day will end with a medal ceremony, with the week culminating in the Closing Ceremonies on Friday afternoon. Enjoy a great camping experience from Monday through Friday featuring a 2:1 staff ratio. You won’t want to miss it!

“Color War” Day Camp
August 13 - 17
|
1, 2, 3, 4, We want color war! 5, 6, 7, 8, What is it gonna take? No Color War protests needed, here. This week, camp will be split into two teams as campers and counselors alike compete in a five-day adventure to win points. Points are awarded for participating in a variety of activities including a kayak race, tie dye contest, all-camp musical chairs, and everybody’s favorite, “All Pow Wow’s Children.” Then, get ready on Thursday night for the 2nd annual ARCh Camp Pow Wow S’Mores Cook-off, followed by Friday’s events – the pie toss and song competition at closing circle. Spirit and pride are all around as you fight for the title of 2012 ARCh Camp Pow Wow Color War Champions!

“Creative Cultures” Day Camp
July 9-13
|
Explore the world from the comfort of your very own summer camp! Travel with us to the ends of the earth, celebrating world cultures through the art we create, the music we play, the food we eat, and the traditions we carry with us through the centuries. Try your hand at ethnic dancing with some local volunteers. Or come experience the beaches of Hawaii on Thursday night’s overnight with our very own Camp Pow Wow Luau, complete with hula dancing, tiki torches, and leis. This week will be the trip of a lifetime!

"Widgets, Waves, and Wings" Day Camp
July 23-27

The science frontier is one of the fastest-changing landscapes of our time. Come and explore new technology with our Life Experiences instructor. Or go snorkeling in the quarry to find out what lies in the deep. This week, make your own kite and learn how to fly it with a visit from “Gift of Wings.” Come experience the ever-changing worlds of technology, underwater exploration, and air and space travel in our Widgets, Waves, and Wings week!

August 6-10
